The player further combines 3D playback with advanced networking features, superior audio performance, control with iPad/iPod touch/iPhone and Android, Quick Response and support for Super Audio CD and DVD-Audio.

Enjoy your DVDs, too – the BDP-LX55 will upconvert DVD video to near HD-quality. From CD,USB and through LAN you can play popular compressed media formats such as MP3 andDivX Plus HD.

Sound Retriever Link and Stream Smoother Link will enhance compressed audio/video files when used in combination with our matching AV Receivers.

BD-Live, YouTube, DLNA and Picasa

Via LAN (optional WiFi converter available), you get access to network features such as BD-Live, watching YouTube and pictures and playback from a PC or network media server(connected to the same LAN and featuring multimedia content server functionality). You can also control with you smartphone or tablet with iControlAV2 for Android and iPod touch / iPhone / iPad.

Our unique PQLS ensures jitterless transmission of uncompressed 2-channel or multi-channel LPCM, and also bitstream audio over HDMI to compatible Pioneer AV receivers.
